Day 95:The Verge - XM 52

Returning back to the Rock channels, the XM Bootcamp visits The Verge.

The Verge is basically Unsigned renamed. XM Canada has a small offering of Canadian channels, with The Verge (which used to be Unsigned, which used to be a REAL Unsigned channel). So The Verge is pretty much a new Canadian rock channel. The same DJ's that were on Unsigned - Kim, Leake and Corona - are also on The Verge.

Some of the songs I heard were "Jaws of Life" by Wintersleep, "Playing God" by Crowning King, "In the Beginning" by the Stills, "Take My Money and Run" by Cuff the Duke, "Make a Little Noise" by Joel Plaskett, "Sleepy" by Mellonova, "Working Out Words" by the Diableros and "Yearning" by the Trews.

The Verge is pretty cool, though it seems that the playlist is a bit thin. I listen to this every now and then. It is a bit similiar to XMU without sounding like it. I'm happy that it does not play big hits and is focused on more less mainstream artists. The Verge is just another good XM rock channel.
